Puppies should be examined by a veterinarian within the first five (5) days. Claims of health or defect concerns should be declared within six (6) days of purchasing the puppy. If a problem should arise we are more than happy to reimburse you for any medications to the amount $50.00 if required for minor complications. When x-rays, blood tests, special shampoos etc. are required a phone call from the vet must be made to Mt. St. Louis Labradors immediately 705 835 3737 or 705 794 9248.
Depending upon the treatment required we reserve the right to have our own veterinarian examine the pup before any treatment commences. Should you decide to go forward with such treatment without our consent, this part of the guarantee shall be deemed void.
We guarantee the hips of our puppies against genetic hip dysplasia. Our guarantee is binding if the puppy/dog has been X-rayed at 12 and 24 months of age, both X-rays are evaluated and graded unsatisfactory by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). This documentation is to be presented to us by 26 months of age. This also applies to CNM tests. We may ask that the dog be returned or if recommended by a veterinarian be euthanized, a puppy of equivalent price will be given to replace the dog.
Depending upon the puppies that are available at that time we may choose to wait for a puppy from a future litter or provide a cash refund for the original price of the puppy. This guarantee is in compliance to a non breeding agreement therefore the puppy/dog must be spayed or neutered.
The puppy has been dewormed a minimum of 3 times and received a vaccination for Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza-Parvovirus otherwise known as a 5 way shot. It is your promise that the day you receive your puppy you are not to bring your puppy to any public area or around any other animals until the vaccination schedule for your puppy is completed by your veterinarian. We will not be responsible for your puppy if this promise is compromised in any way.
This guarantee does not cover trauma related or environmental factors. We do not guarantee our puppies/dogs against non-genetic causes of hip dysplasia, excessive jumping, poor nutrition or any other form of abuse. It is your promise and responsibility to provide a healthy and loving home environment for your new puppy/dog for many years to come.
