Silver Labrador Retriever
When your new family member arrives home, let your pup out every hour or so to help him get the idea of where to do his business.  If an accident does occur in the house be sure to use an antiseptic on the soiled area to remove any scent for the pup to trace.

Dogs and children go hand in hand but NEVER leave your toddler unattended with any puppy.  Toddlers like to tease and pull tails, in this case we highly recommend crate training for all the right reasons.  The good news is that dogs are most likely to be trained before your toddler is.  Love, guidance and attention will provide a loving relationship with you, your Labrador and children for years to come.

For those of you that have just brought home your newborn, please consider a puppy for a later date.  You have enough on your plate right now with many sleepless nights to come without taking on additional responsibilites of a new puppy.

Learning the basic commands such as sit, come, stay, down and leash training, will be much easier to teach at an early age.

PRAISE! PRAISE! PRAISE, when your puppy is doing a terrific job, there nothing like a little TLC or maybe a treat.  After all he is a member of the family.

Congratulations to all of our new puppy owners!
